Welcome to the home of Smoky Mountain Isshin-Ryu, est. 1993. We offer instruction in Traditional Okinawan Isshin Ryu Karate.

We are located on Car Donna Dr, off Jay Ell Rd, convenient to both Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, as well as surrounding counties. Our Chief Instructor is Sonny Newman, 6th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor, who has been training in Isshinryu for over 30 years.

You can begin on any night, we do not have specific dates to start a "class", new members are always welcome. We are not accepting new students and train both male and female students , children through adult and offer group and family discounts to our already reasonable rates. No registration fees. To qualify as a student you must complete an introductory class to be accepted. Call or email to schedule your introductory class.

You do not need to purchase any equipment before starting class, you can order the appropriate equipment from us after you begin. We are a supplier of a full range of martial arts equipment.

While we may attend an occasional tournament, it will not be required as a condition of your rank. We focus on Kata(forms), Bunkai (applications) and Kumite (Sparring), to develop self-confidence, discipline, focus, as well as both mental and physical fitness. We are a member dojo of the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness.
